News, 11/04/07

Thanks, Children Funfest Workers. There were approximately 60 kids registered for the games and activities. With all the parents and workers there were about 125 in attendance. We appreciate Carol organizing this event.

Recycle your computer printer cartridges by bringing them to the church and placing them in the white box in the foyer. These are sent to a company for recycling in return for a fund raising check.

Alabaster offering sent for foreign missions building fund was $322.21. See what a little pocket change saved over a period of time can do. To God be the glory. Our next alabaster offering will be in February.

While a student at Indiana Wesleyan University, Pastor Fannin befriended Samuel Kariuki. Samuel and his family have been here before and the church gave them a good offering. He and his wife are from Ethiopia on a student visa. She is close to finishing her studies for nursing. Samuel has had to drop out of school due to finances. The church board has allowed a fund set up to help him finish his education.

This is not a mandatory offering, but if the Lord lays a burden on your heart for this situation, mark your gift “Samuel.”

District Primetime for our Seniors is Friday, November 16, at Indy First Church beginning 6:30 p.m. The cost is $17 for an evening of singing by the Pfiefers and a fine homemade meal. Please see Nancy or the sign-up sheet on the foyer bulletin board.

Thank you for your giving. Please remember our building fund loan payment of $728.77. “God is Good…”

New discipleship class begins this Wednesday 6:30 p.m. with the book, The Steps to Success in the Christian Life.

A Child Care Ministry Fundraiser is set for the 2007 Hometown Christmas on December 1st at the McCullough Center. There will be a bake sale with two silent auction baskets. The first basket will have children games with the second the NFL Indianapolis Colt items.

Please see the sign-up sheet on the foyer bulletin board to indicate which items you wish to donate. Thank you.

The Child Care is trying to raise enough funds for a commercial rug shampooer for the church.
